Penalty for unvaccinated: checks continue

In the last 24 hours, 2364 checks have been carried out in Crete. The owner of an internet cafe in Chania received a € 2,000 fine and a seven-day suspension because he allowed two unvaccinated customers to enter and stay indoors.

The fact of violation was confirmed by both unvaccinated. Control by the Greek police over the observance of measures against the coronavirus continued at a steady pace on Saturday. With regard to other fines imposed in Chania, an employee of a commercial store, who was at his workplace without a protective mask, was also found guilty.

In Rethymno, three violations were recorded for refusing to use a mask (in a medical institution and an agricultural enterprise).

In Heraklion, five employees of beauty salons and one employee of the OPAP agency were imposed corresponding fines, including for not using a mask.
