Arkalohori shakes all night

Intense seismic activity in Arkalohori is observed throughout the night from Tuesday to today. The strongest push was 4.3 on the Richter scale.

Shortly before midnight, at 11:15 am, the first earthquake with a magnitude of 3.4 was recorded. Then there were three more tremors. The power of the latter, at 5:44 am, was 4.3 points on the Richter scale. Its epicenter was located 5 km northeast of Arkalohori (Heraklion, Crete). The focal depth is estimated at 10.9 km. The activity of seismic shocks was felt in Heraklion and other regions of Crete.

The preceding night tremors, which occurred with a difference of 2 minutes: the first was recorded at 04:29, with a force of 3.3 on the Richter scale and a depth of 11.6 km, 4 kilometers from Arkalohori, and the second at 04:31, three kilometers from Arkalohori, at a depth of 12 km and a thickness of 3.4 points on the Richter scale.
