Thanks to the efforts of Giannis Grammatidis, the 1972 Mercedes-Benz 250/8, which had been languishing in the dark garage of Ολυμπιακής Αεροπορίας for decades, now regains its lost chic. This took more than 3 years of titanic efforts, which, according to the owner, cost him 170,000 euros.
The amount seems excessive for the reconstruction of a rare Mercedes-Benz 250/8, but the very fact that the luxury sedan arrives in Germany to carry out all the restoration work underlines the meticulous attention to detail to achieve the desired result.
After the question was raised about the return of Mercedes-Benz Alexandros Onassis to our country by Car And Motor, the car was placed at the ERT premises in Agia Paraskevi, where it “took part” in the filming of the morning news program “ERT Weekend”.
The footage of the video shows how Mercedes, who loved Alexandros Onassis so much during his lifetime, “shone again”. The car was his personal means of transportation until his unexpected death in 1974 in a plane crash.
