German Chancellor Angela Merkel is likely to visit Athens at the end of the month, media reported on Sunday. This will be one of Merkel’s last visits abroad before she steps down after 16 years in power.

The owner of a Greek tavern in Germany forked out as much as 10 thousand euros to install a wax figure of Angela Merkel.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis invited leaving his post as German Chancellor during an informal meeting of EU leaders in Slovenia last month. According to some media reports, the visit will most likely take place on October 29, but this has not yet been officially confirmed.
Greeks have mixed feelings about Merkel and blame them as the only culprit for decades of austerity measures that have gone far beyond what the nation can withstand.
Last week, Merkel visited Turkey, signaling German support for Recep Tayyip Erdogan. While Berlin tried to maintain a balance in relations between the two countries, more than three million Turks who had the right to vote in Germany upset that balance.
Examining the beauty of Istanbul in the company of Erdogan, Merkel advised “to continue negotiations and diplomacy between the two neighboring countries.”

“In love” with Angela Merkel gave 10,000 euros for her wax model, which he exhibits in the restaurant hall. To carry out his plans, he first had to get the approval of Angela Merkel’s office, after which he made an order in China.
Now the happy restaurateur got the opportunity to admire “his beloved” every day.
