Shortly after 6 pm on the evening of October 14, an earthquake struck near the island of Naxos. The strength of the earthquake was estimated at 5 points on the Richter scale.
The focal depth was 10 kilometers. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 25 km from Naxos in the northeast direction, according to the data of the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens.
