The fisherman was lucky: a catfish weighing 123 kg got caught in the net

A fisherman from Kozani could not believe his eyes when he saw that a “royal specimen” – a catfish of unprecedented size, had been caught in the net.

A fish weighing 123 kg was caught in Lake Polyphitos. As it became known, a local resident, a fisherman from Vatilacco Servion, caught a big fish weighing 92 kg last week, and today he was lucky again. As a result, he himself broke his previous record, having fished out a catfish weighing 123 kg.

In an interview with Kozanimedia.gr, Mr. Papadimitriou mentioned that he is a hereditary fisherman – his ancestors have been involved in this business for 140 years, passing on the profession and its secrets from generation to generation.

Having told reporters in detail how everything was, he took a photo with a giant fish.

The catfish will reportedly be sold at the local market in Vatilakko Servias (Kozani).
