The Russian Security Council announced a new tactic of terrorists – they use people with COVID-19 to spread the coronavirus.
This was announced in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta by Yuri Kokov, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council. According to him, as reported RIA News, in some countries, terrorists have stepped up their activities, using infected citizens to infect the population and increase the spread of the disease:
“Such actions, for example, were revealed by the Indian special services.”
Kokov also told about the cases in Tunisia – there were attempts to infect the military with the penetration of terrorists into the barracks. Noticeable activity is also observed on the Internet, he noted:
“Through social networks, they began to discredit the actions of local authorities in the fight against the pandemic, to form among the population a mood of confusion and uncertainty.”
Yuri Kokov noted that studies conducted in the United States demonstrate that during the mass self-isolation, the popularity of extremist content on the Internet has increased, especially among young people.
