The National Meteorological Service has issued an Emergency Bulletin of Hazardous Weather Events, the forecast of which is alarming.
Heavy rains, thunderstorms, hail and strong winds appear in the meteorological report. Bad weather will initially cover the northwest of Greece from Wednesday night (06-10-2021).
According to EMY, the main characteristics of a bad weather front called ATHENS (ATHINA) will be:
Heavy rains and thunderstorms over most of the country, which will be accompanied by strong winds and hail. On Thursday (10/07/2021), the south wind will temporarily reach 9 on the Beaufort scale.

In the evening, bad weather will cover the islands of the northern Ionian Sea and the coastal regions of Epirus.
THURSDAY (10.07.2021)
Ionian Islands, Epirus, western Sterea, Thessaly, and western and central Macedonia. From midday northwest Peloponnese and gradually the rest of the Peloponnese.
FRIDAY (08-10-2021)
a. Ionian Islands, Epirus, Thessaly, Sporades, Macedonia (mainly central), gradually islands from midday
northeast of the Aegean Sea and Thrace.
b. Peloponnese, Sterea, Evia, western and northern Cyclades, with a gradual weakening from noon.
ATTICA:
Rains and occasionally heavy storms will occur on Friday (08-10-2021) from early morning until noon.
