Minister of Internal Affairs Makis Voridis told about the proposed scenario of the celebration on October 28 and whether there will be a parade.
He explained that the parade will take place with the participation of all citizens, not just the vaccinated, and that the celebrations on the occasion of the national anniversary in marked “red” Thessaloniki (due to the unstable epidemiological situation) will be held as usual.
“The parade will be subject to sanitary measures and strongly encourage the use of the mask,” said Makis Voridis, speaking Monday morning (04.10.2021) on ERT. “Other festive events will also take place, albeit with some restrictions,” the minister stressed.
In addition to masks, the presence of citizens in the parade will be regulated and subject to strict measures, distancing and limited invitation of official guests to the podium.
Relevant announcements are expected to be made within the next 24 hours.
