Today in Nea Magnesia, not far from Thessaloniki, a train pulled through a truck stuck on the railroad tracks.
Train 36-32 followed from Serres to Thessaloniki. The incident took place at the Cavalieros railway crossing. According to initial information, the truck got stuck on the railway tracks, and the train, unable to stop, dragged it along with the driver.
2 fire service vehicles with 6 employees arrived at the scene. Information about the injured passengers of the train was not received. The driver was injured and was taken by EKAB ambulance to Ippokratio Hospital.
KTEL asked for help in transporting passengers on the train by bus.
