Sergei Shefir, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, has been assassinated.
The shefir was not injured, but his driver is in intensive care with three gunshot wounds, his condition is serious, Strana.UA reports, citing a source:
“They shot at Shefir. The driver received three bullets. Now he is in intensive care in serious condition. Sergei Shefir himself is alive, not wounded.”
There is no official information yet. The police launched a special operation “Sirena”, trying to find terrorists in hot pursuit. The photographs published on the Telegram channel “Politics of the Country” from the scene show that the fire was aimed. Investigative and operational police teams are working on the spot.
The chef was driving from home to work. The road passed through the forest, where an ambush awaited him. Several automatic rounds were fired from different sides of the road. They fired about 12-15 bullets at the car.
According to the regional police department, the incident took place on September 22 at about 10:00: more than 10 bullets hit Shefir’s Audi.
Serhiy Shefir is a business partner and friend of the Ukrainian president, co-owner of the Kvartal 95 studio. Earlier, the media reported that Shefir was negotiating with businessman Igor Kolomoisky.
Volodymyr Zelensky himself is currently in the United States, taking part in the work of the 76th UN General Assembly. There is no information about his reaction to the next emergency in the capital of Ukraine.
