Greek law enforcement authorities have detained a couple of drug dealers with the largest quantities of drugs ever found on the island of Mytilene.
The police “led” a 43-year-old woman, a passenger on the Mytilene-Piraeus ferry, to find the entire chain of drug dealers. A citizen with a weighty package of cocaine, suspecting nothing, arrived on the island and made a “bookmark”. “Package”, i.e. a package of 4.5 kg of cocaine, worth half a million euros, was dropped into the flush cistern of a toilet cubicle in one of the cafeterias located in the historic center of Mytilene. The package was intended for a 49-year-old member of a drug trafficking network who “took over the shipment.”
The man was detained because surveillance cameras recorded the entire “operation” for the delivery of drugs. A woman was also detained, who, however, claimed that she was simply asked to “deliver the cargo.”
