An Afghan teenager spent three days under a truck on a spare wheel, trying to get to Europe.
He was found by border guards at a Ukrainian-Romanian checkpoint while inspecting a vehicle. The teenager spent more than two days under the truck, without food or water, sitting on a spare wheel. The end point of the truck that left Turkey was Latvia.
The incident that took place in the Chernivtsi region at the Porubnoye checkpoint on the border with Romania was reported on September 18 by the Ukrainian State Border Service:
“It turned out that the illegal migrant is a citizen of Afghanistan, and he is only 16 years old. Thus, he traveled for the third day to get to the EU countries, first to France.”
The truck driver turned out to be a citizen of Ukraine, who claims that he did not know about the illegal passenger.
The unlucky (or vice versa) traveler was fed and allowed to rest. Competent services investigate all the circumstances of the case, informs “Correspondent”…
