Chicken roll in a flavored sauce, with ruddy potatoes

A funky chicken roll with a crispy crust, baked in a fragrant sauce with a small potato, is just a great option for a festive table as well as for a Sunday lunch or dinner.


– 1 kg. potato. You can use baby potatoes – 1 ready-made chicken roll


– Juice of 1 orange – Juice of 1 lemon – 1 tbsp. l. balsamic vinegar – 1 tbsp. l. tomato paste – 2 tbsp l. mustard – 80 gr. olive oil – 1 tsp paprika – 1 tbsp. l. chicken seasoning – nutmeg – salt – pepper – 1 clove of garlic


The first step is to prepare a flavored sauce. To do this, mix orange and lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, tomato paste, mustard, olive oil, chicken seasoning and your favorite spices, salt and garlic. Mix everything well with a whisk.

We will bake a ready-made store chicken roll. We grease it with prepared sauce from all sides.

Peel the potatoes and cut them into medium pieces. Pour in the remaining sauce and stir.

We will bake in any available heat-resistant dish with a lid. Put a roll in the center, lay potatoes around the edges. Add some water.

We bake for an hour and a half at a temperature of 180 degrees.

Turn the roll over to the other side and bake for another 30 minutes, already without a lid. Cut into portions and enjoy a juicy roll with delicious potatoes.
