Athens Flying Week air show will take place on September 4-5

On September 4-5, 2021, the Athens Flying Week air show will be held at Tanagra Air Base for the 10th time. This year, the largest event will delight a huge number of Greek and international participants, including the aces of the French and American Air Force.

According to a press release from the show organizers, visitors will have the opportunity to witness flights operated by the Rafale Solo Display team of the French Air Force, the historic Spitfire “Warbird” of the Greek Air Force, Patrouille de France and Saudi Hawks, as well as the HAF Zeus F-16, F- 16 Royal Danish Air Force, American F-15s and other pilots.

The program will include a demonstration of combat evacuation exercises and the capabilities of firefighting aircraft, led by pilots of the Greek armed forces, as well as a demonstration of special formations created by Athens Aviation Week to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution of 1821.

Visitors will not only be allowed to explore and take pictures against the background of military aircraft from Greece, but also from other countries, as well as visit the aircraft.

Tickets for Athens Flying Week can be purchased online viva.gr at a price of 15 euros for adults and 7 euros for children. They will only be issued electronically due to the pandemic.

As every year, a bus will run from Doukissis Plakentias Station to transport visitors to and from Tanagra AFB.
