The Council of State responded “No” to a request for a temporary suspension by doctors and hospital staff with the aim of “freezing” the decision on the mandatory introduction of vaccinations.
The Office of the Directorate General of the Council of Europe (Γ´ θερινό τμήμα του ΣτΕ), chaired by Vice President Ms Constantinidou, rejected four relevant applications, which were submitted by 115 doctors and hospital administrators.
In the meantime, a similar POEDIN request is pending at the plenary session of the Supreme Court (i.e., the interim order and the suspension of the compulsory vaccination decision).
Recall that vaccination of medical workers against coronavirus has become mandatory. As announced, those who fail to get their first vaccinations by September 1 (when the government’s ultimatum expires) will be suspended from work.
