Fires in Keratea and Viliya

Information about forest fires in Kerat and Viliya (Attica) was reported by the fire brigade on Monday afternoon, August 16.

According to the Fire Department, the fires that have occurred today in the two areas continue.

Brigades operating in Keratea
It is reported that there are currently 91 firefighters, including three military groups, in relation to the fire that broke out in the Markati-Keratea area. From the air, fires are extinguished by 6A / F and 6E / P divisions, including 2E / P (Αεροπορίας Στρατού). Help is provided by volunteer firefighters, construction and other auxiliary equipment.

More than 60 firefighters in Viliya
As for the fire that broke out in the forest in Viliya, 61 firefighters are operating at the site of the fire, including a group of military personnel, 25 specialized vehicles.

For extinguishing fires, the military has allocated brigades of units of 5 E / P and 8 A / F. Help is provided by volunteers, construction and other equipment.
