Biblical floods in southern Russia and Crimea

The Black Sea coast of the Caucasus is flooded with rains, downpours and in the eastern part of Crimea. The regions were hit by a cyclone, causing an abnormal flood.

An emergency regime has been introduced in Novorossiysk, Anapa, Temryuk and Slavyansky districts. The authorities of the Krasnodar Territory have transported more than 900 children from health camps to safe places, according to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.

In Anapa, after heavy downpours, residents have not yet been evacuated, but 15 household plots and basements of 3 apartment buildings have already been flooded there. Water is being pumped out. In Slavyansk-on-Kuban, 11 private houses were flooded.

On Thursday, a section of the federal highway “Tavrida” disappeared under water, water from the mountains descended onto the Simferopol-Yalta highway, more than 100 households in the Leninsky district were flooded,

There are 40 private households in the flood zone, 26 temporary accommodation points are deployed. The press service of the Kerch administration reported that rescuers took the first 10 residents, including 4 children, to temporary accommodation centers.
