COVID19 tests were carried out among 29 crew members of the Proteus passenger ferry, and as a result 7 positive cases were identified.
According to Taxydromos, this maritime means of communication did not make the morning flight to Sporades today. According to a briefing by Port Chief Vasiliki Constant, the vessel had to follow the EODY protocol, which provides for the replacement of personnel with a new one and the disinfection of all its premises.
The disinfection has reportedly already taken place, and Proteus is scheduled to launch an emergency service at 16:00 to serve passengers. Ms Constanta also said that 162 people were sent to their destinations on the passenger motor ship “Express Skiathos”. However, the remaining 105 are still waiting at the port. It is planned to send passengers in the afternoon on another ferry.
