The number of new cases of coronavirus infection fell to 3493 on Friday from 3605 on Thursday, 3475 on Wednesday and 4181 on Tuesday.
Data from the National Public Health Organization (EODY) showed that the total number of reported cases since the start of the pandemic is now 531,967.
Health authorities also announced 24 deaths, bringing the death toll to 13,182.
The number of intubated patients was 235 versus 240 on the previous day.
EODY said it ran 117,692 tests in the last 24 hours (four times the average) with a positive result of 2.96%.
