August Full Moon at the Acropolis Museum

The Acropolis Museum will celebrate the August full moon by extending the opening hours of the museum and restaurant to the weekend of August 21 and 22.

On Saturday (August 21), the museum halls will be open from 8:00 to 20:00, admission is free for everyone, in the context of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the National Liberation Revolution. Visitors can also visit the restaurant until midnight, where they can watch the moon while dining or drinking on the outdoor terrace. Reservations are required in the restaurant by phone 210 9000915.

On Sunday (August 22), the museum halls will be open from 8:00 to 22:00. The restaurant operates on the same schedule. The museum’s archaeologists will present a story about the collection in Greek (20:00) and English (18:00). Guided tours are 60 minutes and registration is required as the number of places is limited to 10 (each language has 2 presentations at the same time).

Registration is required on the same day, at the museum’s information desk, and participants must already pay an entry fee of € 10.

Health Requirements: Wear a mask (not provided by the museum) and have a personal audio system with headphones (provided by the museum).
