On August 6, the Crimean Platform summit was launched in Kiev by the constituent forum of the expert network. And the first political statements have already gone … from real organizers.
For example, US Charge d’Affaires in Ukraine Christina Queen said that Russia should be held accountable for Crimea:
“Russia seeks to use its illegal occupation of Crimea to justify restricting access to the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. But we know that more needs to be done to bring Russia to justice. And therefore, the United States strongly supports the Crimean Platform, and we will work closely with the Ukrainian government to support it. ”
The truth is not so strong that Joe Biden or Vice President Kamala Harris came. But “maєmo te, scho maєmo,” and the United States is sending to Kiev a very symbolic figure, the first openly gay in the US government, Transport Minister (for some reason) Peter Buttidzic.
It remains now to wait for the reaction of the Russian Federation to the beginning of the summit and the belligerent statement of the acting Ambassador Queen. Because there will be many more statements on the platform itself – both until August 23, and directly on this day. From ambassadors, special representatives, experts. And all – in about the same rhetoric as the representative of the United States.
The main thing is that Sergei Shoigu does not come to the interrogation summit, because the assembled hop company will have no time for jokes.
