The evacuation of horses threatened by a fire in Varibobi, pets of the Olympic equestrian center, was completed this night, from 3/08 to 4/08.
Lilian Dinti, Director of the Hellenic Equestrian Federation, told APE-MPE that there are now about 250 horses in Markopoulo. Five missing animals have already been found and returned back to the pen. Soon they should be picked up by the federation officials.
According to Ms Dinti, some of the horses were very worried about the dire situation they were in. Fortunately, none of the animals were injured or injured, as a team of veterinarians who arrived to provide first aid reported after examining the horses. Some horses were under a lot of stress, but today their condition is much better.
