Vitaly Shishov, the head of the organization helping Belarusians who fled abroad, disappeared yesterday morning in Kiev. The man went for a run and did not return, according to the BBC.
The Belarusian House said that neither searches at his home, nor a search with the help of law enforcement officers in areas where Shishov usually is, did not help locate the missing person, Reuters reports, citing police.
Friends of Mr. Shishov, in particular the Belarusian journalist Tadeush Gizjan, report that the head of the Belarusian House has been under surveillance lately. Gizjan added that the Ukrainian border guards were informed.
