The highest level of average nominal wages in the history of Ukraine was recorded by the State Statistics Service: it was 14,313 hryvnia or 525 US dollars, TASS informs.
In 2019, this figure was equal to $ 400. As, however, in 2013, but then it decreased by almost 2 times. According to the State Statistics Service, residents of the Ukrainian capital have the highest average wages – UAH 20,455, or $ 751. The workers of the Kirovograd region receive the least – an average of $ 422.
Nevertheless, the positive dynamics did not greatly affect the overall financial situation of the working population of the country – about 42% live below the poverty line, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans’ Rights notes. There is no reason to expect an improvement in the situation this year.
