Plane with Americans crashed in western Ukraine

A plane crashed on a residential building in Ukraine, killing a Ukrainian pilot and three Americans.

The incident was reported by the “” edition, referring to the data of the Ukrainian emergency services.

A small 4-seater aircraft Advantic WT-10 of Slovak production crashed in western Ukraine, crashing into a house in one of the villages of Ivano-Frankivsk region Sheparovtsy. The dead passengers were three US citizens, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported, citing a source in the security forces. The pilot, an experienced pilot Igor Tabanyuk, was also killed.

After hitting the roof of the house, the plane caught fire, after 20 minutes the fire was liquidated by several crews. The residents of the house were not hurt – at the last minute they managed to jump out.

The US Embassy in Ukraine ignored the AFP issue and declined to comment. The reasons for the tragic incident were not reported. The investigation put forward several versions about the causes of the disaster – a technical malfunction or a violation of safety rules by the pilot.
