Flights to the islands with a self test for children 12-17 years old

The option for passengers between the ages of 12 and 17 to travel by self-checking on domestic flights from the mainland to the islands is provided by an amendment to the aviation directive.

According to a statement from the Civil Aviation Authority (Υπηρεσίας Πολιτικής Αεροπορςας (ΥΠΑ), for minors between the ages of 12 and 17 (born after July 1, 2009), the obligation to board an aircraft is fulfilled after presenting a negative coronavirus test (self-test certificate) 24 hours before the flight.

The pre-existing airline directive on domestic flights from the mainland to the islands, which lasts and is valid until Monday 2 August 2021, added conditions for travel in the age group 12-17 years old and the ability to board with a self-test result.

All other instructions for flying to the islands remain the same.
