Cookies “Buds” with jam

The Internet edition “Russian Athens” continues to publish culinary recipes from Irina Fedotova. Delicious and effective cookies for a cup of coffee or tea. The cookie dough is made with natural yoghurt, which can be replaced with sour cream.

The filling is jam, although there may be a salty filling, such as feta cheese.


320-350 gr. flour 1 h. l. baking powder vanillin salt 0.5 tsp. turmeric 50 gr. sugar zest of 1 orange 120 gr. butter (chilled) 150 gr. yogurt (sour cream) yolk thick jam icing sugar


Mix and sift flour with baking powder, add vanillin, a pinch of salt, some turmeric for color, sugar and zest of one orange. We rub chilled butter on a coarse grater. Grind the dough with your hands until crumbs are formed. Add one yolk and natural yogurt or sour cream. Knead soft dough. We wrap it in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator to cool for 30 minutes. Divide the dough into 40 gram pieces, roll up the balls. Roll out a small circle, make an incision in the center to the middle, put a thick jam and wrap it, giving the shape of a bud. We bake for 20 minutes at a temperature of 170 degrees, let cool completely and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
