The explosion of a tanker in western Kenya killed 13 people, and children are being treated for severe burns in a hospital.
When a tanker capsized on a road in Siaya County last night, it caught fire and then exploded, according to police information voiced by Charles Tsatza, thirteen people were killed:
“We counted 12 corpses on the spot. Another person died in the hospital. The car exploded when they were trying to collect the leaked gasoline.
After a cistern overturned on a busy road near Malanga, 315 kilometers northwest of Nairobi, people rushed to collect leaking gasoline. However, the fuel truck caught fire and an explosion occurred. The policeman says:
“Many are receiving treatment for severe burns, including young children.”
