USA: instead of the pool – on the subway

The New York subway turned into a lake, people literally swim in water reaching to the waist.

The flooding is to blame for the tropical storm “Elsa”, which caused destruction in Cuba and rapidly swept across the states of Florida, South Carolina, Georgia. As a result of the heavy rains of the New York subway, as evidenced by The New York Post, it was captured by the elements, the water level reaches passengers to the waist.

In order to wait out the aggression of nature with the least losses, the authorities urged residents to spend today, July 9, at home. Nevertheless, not everyone can afford it, so residents of the city are actively sharing photos and videos of the flooded city and the subway on social networks. The latter posted an announcement on Twitter:

“Please be careful not to enter flooded stations while our teams are working on this issue.”

On the streets of the city, the situation is not the best – flooded roads, fallen trees, traffic jams. The entrance to the Broadway subway station is completely filled with water.
