UK: Experts Talk About a Fourth Wave

Today, the UK Ministry of Health announced an anti-record for new cases of coronavirus in the country since January – 26,068 people were infected in the last 24 hours.

The lethal outcome was registered in 23 patients, reports RT, citing data from the British government. Experts say the United Kingdom has entered the fourth wave of COVID.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 4.72 million people have fallen ill in the country, the number of deaths has exceeded 128,000. After the successful completion of the third wave, amid mass vaccinations, the authorities gradually relaxed restrictive measures and had to lift them completely on June 21st. However, the rapid spread of the Delta strain forced the government to postpone this deadline until July 19.

117 people have died from the Indian variant of the coronavirus. Moreover, 50 of them were fully vaccinated, and 20 received the first dose. Scientists call this figure paradoxical, and netizens doubted the effectiveness of vaccination, Le Figaro reports.
