A half-naked man, armed with an ax, ran through the streets of Volos

For several days now, horror and panic among young and old have been sowed by a half-naked man, whom the townspeople see here and there.

The incident was recorded in the town of Κωφούς Αλμυρού (Volos). Residents of the village more than once saw a man “with furious eyes” and ax at the readywho staggered through the streets, threatening everyone who got in his way.

According to the residents’ complaint, an inadequate man, apparently with chronic psychological problems, was detained and must undergo a psychiatric examination. Yesterday morning, 28/06, a complaint was filed with the police and the incident was reported to the prosecutor.

A government spokesman has ordered a psychiatric examination, which is expected to take place today. Only after that will the law enforcement agencies decide what to do with the troublemaker.

Something has recently become more frequent “use of the ax” by the inhabitants of Greece. One went to the tax office and literally chopped up employees (one of whom later died), and the other staged a showdown with a neighbor.

Panicked passers-by called a police squad. After the inadequate man was immobilized and handcuffed, it turned out that the Ukrainian was “armed to the teeth” – in addition to an ax, he had a hammer and two knives with him.

Apparently, the man “picked up the squirrel” and, as a result, began to destroy everything around him. According to the police, he damaged the house where the neighbors lived. A preliminary investigation is being carried out by the First Police Department of Heraklion.
