Greece through the eyes of Russians: reviews of the June holiday

A tourist from Russia spent an unforgettable vacation in Greece, on the coast of Lagonissi, and shared her impressions with the portal “Subtleties of Tourism”.

The exquisite resort is located 22 kilometers from Athens International Airport. Taking advantage of a regular flight, guests from Russia arrived on vacation in June. The family chose the Athenian Riviera, which attracted their attention with its favorable location. As the Russian tourist explains, it is 20 minutes by car from the airport to Lagonissi, for excursions it is convenient to travel to the capital, and for beautiful views – to Cape Sounion or the islands.

The author of a review about a great vacation in Greece noted the gentle entrance to the sea, the perfectly clear water in it and the well-groomed coast. In addition, the water warms up very quickly, so the woman advises: “If you have children, this is the best resort in all of Greece.”

Another of the many reviews on the site was left by a Russian woman vacationing in Crete in June. She talked about how her perception of vacation has changed. According to the perfectly rested tourist, she “liked absolutely everything” in Greece: the hotel and its infrastructure, delicious and varied food, live music. She even put her plus on a staircase with 160 steps leading to the beach. A woman emotionally shares her impressions:

I liked everything in the hotel, absolutely! Cozy view of the bay from all corners. Five minutes to the beach down the stairs did not bother me at all, and what to say, even the way back did not seem difficult. 160 steps is ok! It can even be attributed to the pluses: when descending, the view is gorgeous and additional exercises on the legs.

My perception of the pandemic has changed, and now I am not the grumpy woman who looks in the corners of the hotel or counts the towels in the room. I just blissed out like a child from our vacation. What we have, we do not appreciate, this is unambiguous …
We booked a standard room, settled in a superior family room with a sea view, since the hotel is less than half full. The food is great, there are not many choices, but everything is delicious. The pool is very clean, with a beautiful view, drinks, juices can be ordered at the bar, will bring. In the evenings there was live music and themed dinners, something close to the Greek evenings that I saw earlier, but more modest.

There are very few Russians, as the guest from the Russian Federation notes. There are more Englishmen and Germans, although there are actually very few tourists, despite the high tourist season. In conclusion, the Russian woman noted: “I really hope that soon everything will return to its usual course, and there will again be crowds of tourists in Crete, and we will again pick the departure time meticulously!”
