On Sunday 27/06, starting in the early morning, the beaches of Attica were crowded with vacationers, as the saying goes, “the apple had nowhere to fall.” The heat pushed the Athenians to swim in the sea. However, experts are unhappy with the pandemic over the ongoing covid pandemic.
And although the masks were canceled, after “hot weekend”it is possible that the number of infected people may increase, since the distancing could not be observed. This is the opinion of expert epidemiologists.
The official Covid-19 summary reads: “The number of new coronavirus cases recorded in Greece is in decline. On Sunday, EODY announced 236 new cases, 11 of which were imported from abroad, and seven more were found after border checks.
Thus, of the 225 newly infected with Covid-19 inside the country, 107 were recorded in Attica, 19 in Thessaloniki, while 11 in Heraklion and 12 in Rethymno.
It was noted that in 6 cases (where the infection came from), contacts are being investigated.
