Starting tomorrow, June 27, Germany will tighten the rules for the entry of Russians into the country – they will now have to go through a 2-week quarantine, the period of which cannot be reduced.
The RIA Novosti news agency tells about the innovation, referring to the document of the German-Russian forum. However, the German authorities do not intend to limit themselves to these measures only. The question of suspension of ground and air communications with the Russian Federation is currently being considered.
In May, in anticipation of the tourist season, Germany made it easier for travelers to enter the country – those who received a full course of vaccinations against coronavirus or who had recovered did not need to take a PCR test or be in quarantine after arrival.
In the same month, the German diplomatic missions in Russia announced the acceptance of visa applications for citizens of the Russian Federation wishing to visit the country from 1.06.2021. True, their submission was limited to certain conditions, and trips were supposed after the abolition of all restrictions on entry for Russians.
