Lionel Richie celebrates his birthday with his family in bohemian Mykonos

Lionel Richie, one of the famous American musicians, has joined his family on the beautiful Greek island of Mykonos.

Together with his siblings Sophia, Nicole and Miles, he celebrated his birthday on June 20 in a luxury villa overlooking the Aegean Sea.

The Richie family arrived in Mykonos aboard the Ulysses megayacht. The extravagant yacht is complete with a large pool and hot tub, dining room, wine cellar, several plush seating areas, enough bedrooms to accommodate 36 guests, a gym, cinema and a fully functioning helipad for those looking to take a helicopter ride (according to yahtharbour. com).

Cosmopolitan island Mykonos, together with the rest of Greece, reopened to visitors in May.

“The safe start to the tourist season is the result of a huge national stake that has so far demonstrated that Greece and Mykonos in particular will win,” Mykonos Mayor Konstantinos Koukas told GreekReporter.

Mykonos Airport currently operates 12 daily domestic flights as well as international carriers including Quatar, LOT, Volotea, Air France, Easy Jet and Vueling.

“Apparently, the tourist year this year will be better,” said Kukas. “Firstly, mass vaccination is progressing in Greece and in all developed countries. Secondly, we are all wiser at the managerial level than a year ago. Thirdly, Greece, and especially Mykonos, have shown quite good results in terms of a pandemic. “
