The opening of the monument to the holy doctor on the territory of the city hospital No. 5 of Odessa was timed to coincide with the Day of the Medical Worker.

On June 19, 2021 in Odessa, on the territory of the city clinical hospital No. 5, a monument to St. Luke (Voino-Yasenetsky) was unveiled, according to the Youtube channel of the Odessa diocese of the UOC.
The opening of the monument is timed to the 60th anniversary of the presentation of St. Luke and the Day of the Medical Worker. Metropolitan of Odessa and Izmail Agafangel (Savvin) led the Divine Liturgy in the Church of St. Luke and Martyr Valentina, which is located on the territory of this medical institution.
At the opening of the monument, Vladyka Agafangel said that St. Luke Krymsky is an example for us of walking before God and love for our people. “On the battlefields, he rescued people by performing complex operations. St. Luke remained an example of special love for each person, through his labors and deeds, which have become for us and will remain for future generations, ”said Metropolitan Agafangel.
