Distribution of self-examination tests to certain groups of the population will continue in July, Deputy Health Minister Vasilis Kontosamanis said on Thursday.
The self-test will be available to public and private employees, catering and tourism workers, and those under the age of 30. He added that in regions such as Achaia, where the Panhellenic Pharmaceutical Association refused to conduct self-testing, distribution will be done through supermarkets. According to him, the same can apply to Attica, if the need arises.
The Attica Pharmaceutical Association has already announced that pharmacies will stop issuing self-diagnostic tests from Saturday 19 June.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Citizens’ Protection Nikos Hardalias announced that vaccinated workers in the tourism sectors (hotels, travel agencies, guide services, car rental services, catering, etc.) will perform self-tests twice a week, at the expense of the state on the first time.
