The show of Dior haute couture in Athens at the Kalimarmaro stadium was truly brilliant. As you know, this is the “preparation” of the official presentation in 2022.
The flashes of the cameras captured the VIP guests as they arrived in Kallimarmaro. First, of course, this is the first lady of the country, President of the Republic of Greece Katerina Sakellaropoulou. Then the reporters saw the Minister of Culture, Ms. Lina Mendoni, with a tenacious eye appraising the exquisite attire of the President.
Ms. Sakellaropoulou wore an exclusive dress from a renowned Greek designer that was specially created for the occasion. It is an outfit in deep ultramarine blue, symbolizing the Aegean Sea, made of silk crepe, complemented by appliqués in airy lace and organza.
There were also many invited men. But what really stood out was the simple luxury of the media influencer running the channel, Philippe Vryonis. He was dressed in a “casual” silk shirt by an unknown designer and carried himself with dignity.
Unfortunately, the famous TV presenter Menios Furtiotis was absent, as he was in custody pending trial. Sakellaropoulou, Mendoni and Vrionis, according to secular reporters, “were able to create a visual series worthy of a fashion show.”
Dior provided “seats” for a group of 10 people who were admitted to the Dior fashion show by a secret code. In total, 85 world famous models took part in the long-awaited event, one of which is Greek. This is Rosana Gheorghiu, or “Caryatida”, as she was called by the foreign media.
