Three hours ago today, at 3:35 AM, an earthquake struck Crete, 20 km from the village of Mylopotamos.
According to the Athens Geodynamic Institute, tremors are estimated at 4.3 points on the Richter scale. The epicenter is located 36 km northwest of Heraklion, 20 km from Mylopotamos. The focal depth is 60 km.
The earthquake data comes from the Geodynamic Institute of Athens or the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Institute. They are recorded by an automatic computer system, without the participation of seismologists, and are in the process of constant updating.
