Collision of a catamaran and a boat

The collision of ships occurred in the sea area of ​​Keri near the island of Zakynthos, the boat collided with an anchored catamaran.

According to the Coast Guard, the ship, on board which was the only passenger, its owner, collided with a catamaran that arrived in Greece under the German flag. There was a foreigner on board who was driving the ship. At the time of the collision, the catamaran was anchored in the Keri sea area. A patrol boat Λ.Σ.-ΕΛ.ΑΚΤ. Was called to the scene, and a private boat with Coast Guard officers and a patrol car arrived as observers from the land.

It is noted that none of the citizens were injured in the incident, and there was no pollution of the marine environment or the sinking of ships. Material damage to the stern of the catamaran and surface scratches on the boat were recorded.

The ship, which collided with the catamaran, headed for the port of Keri on its own power, where the envisaged administrative sanctions were applied against the helmsman. The movement of the catamaran was prohibited until the damage caused to it was repaired. A preliminary investigation is being carried out by the port administration of Fr. Zakynthos.
