Vaccination of bedridden patients with Johnson & Johnson

As the Minister of Health Vasilis Kikilias announced during an official briefing on June 9, the vaccination of bedridden patients will be carried out at home. The drug used is the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

According to the minister, vaccinations will be carried out with the help of private doctors. The number of vaccinations is expected to exceed 100,000, while 23.7% of our fellow citizens have already received both doses of the vaccine, according to the Minister of Health. A government spokesman stressed that the number of covid cases has decreased in all regions.

Mr Kikilias also said that more than 400,000 people are now being vaccinated, with Pfizer (approximately 240,000 doses), Johnson & Johnson (approximately 96,300) and Moderna.

It should be noted that at the moment 6,430,792 doses of vaccines have been administered. In addition, 4,084,134 people were vaccinated with a single dose (coverage rate 39%) and 2,488,302 people completed vaccination (coverage rate 23.7%).
