Today, Thursday, June 10, 2021, at 15:00, electronic submission of applications for beneficiaries and suppliers of tourist accommodation, as well as ferry companies, to participate in the 2021-2022 OAED Social Tourism Program begins. Applications can be submitted until Thursday 17 June at 23:59.
The Employment Agency’s (OAED) new social tourism program subsidizes not only tourist accommodation but also ferry tickets. For the first time in August, the tourist accommodation subsidy was increased by 20% to provide even more support to hoteliers and increase room availability during peak holiday seasons.
Free holidays under the state-subsidized social tourism program (Κοινωνικός Τουρισμός) is intended for 300,000 beneficiaries, residents of Greece. This is the period from August 1, 2021 to July 31, 2022.
Vacationers will be provided with tourist accommodation from the register of business hoteliers cooperating with the OAED. The maximum duration is 6 nights with a small amount of private participation (additional payment possible from your own funds). While on the islands of Kos, Leros, Lesvos, Samos, Chios and in the prefecture of Evros, the maximum length of nights is 10 nights without any additional payments.
The submission of applications and the necessary supporting documents by the beneficiaries and suppliers is carried out exclusively in electronic form through the Single Digital Portal of the Greek State gov.gr, with TAXISnet passwords or passwords of OAED certified users:
