The second round of issuing 200 euros for computers for schoolchildren

On June 10, the second round of issuing a € 200 voucher for the purchase of a laptop or tablet begins.

The program applies to all potential beneficiaries, even if they are not approved OPECA child benefit recipients. Applications for Cycle 2 of the Digital Care program will be submitted from June 10th until the total program end date of July 30, 2021.

The second cycle, which includes all other beneficiaries, was originally planned to open on May 5, 2021, but then it was postponed to the 31st of the same month, and today June 10 was set as a new date.

OPECA indicates in a related announcement that citizens who face procedural problems when applying for a € 200 voucher can enter the program’s help desk: https://digital-access.gov.gr/voitheia.

How to apply

Applicants enter the program platform using their personal TAXISnet codes and fill in the required data. The first cycle requires the applicant’s social security registration number (Α.Μ.Κ.Α.), some information about the school the child is attending (for example, the school registration number for students) and confirmation of the personal mobile phone to which the test will be sent codes after successful completion of the application.

According to the Ministry of Education, compliance checks are carried out mainly in automatic mode, by cross-checking information from registers and all necessary information systems of state bodies, which avoids the time-consuming and bureaucratic process of checking documents for hundreds of thousands of applications. In the event that some data cannot be electronically confirmed, the provision of supporting documents is required.
