Policeman’s revenge on a rival

The police stripped and handcuffed a 23-year-old boy who was flirting with his fiancée. “I woke up in handcuffs,” says the victim of police brutality.

The man, who was beaten by a policeman in Magnesia, considering his sexual rival, has appealed to the European Court of Justice.
He spoke in detail to Tlive about the incident.

It all started in February 2013 when the victim was working with the then 23-year-old fiancee of a police officer and started sending her erotic messages from his cell phone. When the policeman saw an unambiguous correspondence on the bride’s phone, he realized that he had a rival and made an appointment with the young man.

The guy was not scared and went to the appointment. When he arrived, the guardian of the law was already there in his car. The young man got into his car, intending to sort out the situation that had arisen.

However, on the way, everything changed … “While we were driving, he hit me on the nose with his fist. I lost consciousness and, as soon as I woke up, I saw handcuffs on my hands, ”the victim told Tlive. Then the policeman took the opponent to a deserted place, ordered him to go out and undress. Then he beat him up and left the helpless one in the forest, after destroying the victim’s mobile phone.

The mixed collegium court of first instance sentenced the policeman to five years in prison. The second instance sentenced him to 27 months in prison. He appealed to the Supreme Court, which overturned convictions for some crimes due to the more lenient provisions of the new Criminal Code.

For his part, the victim appealed to the European Court of Human Rights with a complaint about inhuman and degrading treatment.
