The Greek authorities have released another update to the conditions of entry into the country until May 31, as well as the rules for travel to the islands. It mentions the extension of the entry permit for an unlimited number of citizens of the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Belarus and 19 other countries outside the European Union.
According to a statement by the Civil Aviation Authority, the directive introducing a ban on entry into Greece for third-country nationals (does not apply to citizens of European Union member states) is extended until May 31, 06:00 am.
This directive (international flight notifications) provides for:
Prohibition of entry into the country of citizens of third countries, except for the countries of the European Union and the Schengen Agreement. Exceptions are passengers from 21 states, citizens of the following countries: Australia, North Macedonia, United Arab Emirates, United States of America, United Kingdom, Israel, Canada, Belarus, Bahrain, New Zealand, South Korea, Qatar, China, Kuwait, Ukraine, Rwanda, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore and Thailand. “They enter the country by any means and by any [транспортными] means, “the message says. The vaccination certificate must include the name of the person on the passport, the type of vaccine administered, the number of doses and the date of administration, or a negative PCR test for coronavirus within the last 72 hours prior to arrival in Greece, or, alternatively, travelers to Greece must have a certificate of previous illness caused by coronavirus and the presence of antibodies issued by a government agency. The prerequisites (vaccine, negative test result or medical certificate) to enter Greece are valid for children aged five and over. All international passengers will undergo a rapid test upon arrival in accordance with the procedure provided in the Passenger Search Form. In case of a positive test result, quarantine will be valid for 14 days.
All of these documents can be in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish or Russian. They must be issued by a government agency and in accordance with local legislation.
All those who arrive in Greece must comply with the restrictive measures to combat the pandemic that are in force in the country.
Greece opened its tourism market to foreign tourists from May 14, and also allowed its own citizens to move between regions of the country, including the islands, from that date. Instructions for Island Domestic Flights
Until Monday, May 31, 2021, the following rules apply for passengers on domestic island flights.
In particular, all passengers on domestic island-hopping flights must meet one of the following conditions:

The vaccination certificate includes the person’s name, the type of vaccine, and the number of doses they received. have had a negative laboratory test for COVID-19 by PCR (oral or nasopharyngeal swab) within the last 72 hours prior to your scheduled travel time or a rapid coronavirus antibody test (rapid COV antigen test) within the last 24 hours before the scheduled travel time. In the case of foreigners from abroad, they can provide a negative test certificate in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian or Russian. have a negative self-test result (self-test) within 24 hours before the scheduled travel time and confirm this with a corresponding certificate on paper. Confirmation of the result will be carried out through the declaration of self-test results for COVID-19, the filling form of which is posted on the page https://self-testing.gov.gr/covid19-self-test-print.pdf in Greek and English. present a certificate stating that the passenger has had a coronavirus, valid from two to nine months after the illness.
The above obligations apply to minors aged five and over.
A negative diagnosis of the PCR test and the express test is confirmed by the presentation of the corresponding certificate in printed or electronic form. If these checks have been carried out abroad and are valid at the time of boarding the aircraft, the relevant certificates are accepted under the same conditions under which entry into Greece was permitted.
Verification of the above documents is carried out by airline employees during boarding.
Passengers and crew members are required to observe other measures for the prevention and treatment of cases of coronavirus (mandatory use of a mask), which are posted on the website of the Civil Aviation Service, before boarding, during travel, as well as during disembarkation of passengers.
