Following the approval by the European Commission of the special allowances (αποζημιώσεις ειδικού σκοπού), another measure of financial support will be launched by the end of this week.
By submitting an application for the online platform “my business support”, more than 100,000 freelancers and companies will receive from 1,000 to 4,000 euros. In fact, this money will be paid twice, as this grant will first support companies that remained closed during April and then those that remained closed during May.
Compensation will also be paid in case some citizens receive permission to work during the second half of May, as many economic activities will open from May 15th. However, in this case, the compensation will be 50% and will range from 500 to 2000 euros. Upon submission of the relevant applications, the process of verification of the fulfillment of the conditions by the AADE will proceed quickly, since there is not even a criterion for a decrease in revenue for this measure.
The ministerial decree will include the categories of KAD enterprises (types of businesses) that will be considered “beneficiaries”. And within a few days – even in May – the money will be transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
The money will be received by all professionals who have up to 50 employees and are included in the register of the specified KAD. The criterion for reducing the turnover of the enterprise is not taken into account.
