A California resident washed clothes with a winning lottery ticket in her pocket and was left without $ 26 million, KTLA reports.
The SuperLotto Plus lucky ticket, according to RIA Novosti, was purchased at a gas station in the American city of Nourlok by a regular customer. After washing the clothes, it turned out to be spoiled. The upset woman shared her trouble with the employees of the gas station, where she bought the ticket. As it turned out, the moment of purchase was recorded by a surveillance camera, but, alas, this did not help.
Six months after the purchase of the lottery ticket, the recording on the surveillance camera turned out to be hidden newer, so the lottery representatives could not reliably establish the identity of the winner. Yesterday, the deadline for claiming winnings expired. Thus, according to the established rules, the organizers of the lottery will transfer the entire $ 26 million to California schools.
