That often ends in a fire and looks more like a “war scene” than a celebration of a Christian holiday. This year there was a fire during the fireworks and a fire brigade was mobilized.
The dangerous custom of “fiery battles” began in 2011, and since then, on the night of the Resurrection of the Lord, local residents have arranged a “light show” with Molotov cocktails, powerful firecrackers and traditional Bengal lights, turning Lagoumici Street into an extremely dangerous place.
