After a long hiatus during the pandemic on Friday, on the eve of Easter, Disneyland amusement park reopened in California, but so far – only for residents of the state. The Walt Disney Company posted the corresponding statement on Twitter yesterday.
True, the park’s website notes that the conditions for visiting still exist – a limited number of visitors to maintain social distance and the related advance booking. The administration also informs about the need to comply with all sanitary standards related to coronaviruses:
Anyone who wanted to visit this wonderful place – welcome back. California residents, start planning your visit now. Visitors will be forced to wear protective masks throughout the park. In addition, employees can check their documents confirming registration in California, as well as measure the temperature.
For 13 months, Disneyland parks and nearby Disney California Adventure, located in Anaheim, have been closed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. Now, after a forced downtime, the parks management is opening them, but so far exclusively for California residents. At the same time, the administration promises to take all measures to prevent the spread of infection.
Disneyland in Anaheim opened in 1955. This is the first of 5 amusement parks that were created based on the popular cartoons of The Walt Disney Company. Before the pandemic took over the planet, it was visited by more than 19 million people every year.
